Portable Hard Drive

Since video files are so large, I decided to go ahead and spring for a Passport portable hard drive, 1 TB.  Then I was confronted with a dilemma because I learned that if I left it formatted for my PC, Mac could only read the files.   I wouldn’t be able to save any of my Mac files to my Passport as is.  I could partition half the drive for my PC and the other half for my Mac or I could get more software to install that would enable Mac to write to PC or that would enable my PC to read my Passport if I formatted it as Mac.

I’ve decided to leave my Passport as is, formatted for my PC.  I can see my Passport PC files in Finder on my Mac and copy them to my Mac. Then I can make whatever changes I want to the files.  If I want to save the changes, I will either save them to my Google Drive or get a super thumbdrive since they don’t care what operating system you’re using!
